Physical Therapy: What to Expect?
Initial Evaluation
Your Physical Therapist will do a thorough evaluation of your condition. You and your therapist will determine the length and duration of your plan of care upon completion of the initial visit. Physical Therapists will measure your range of motion, and strength as well as assess posture, and body mechanics. They will also perform any special tests to confirm or rule out specific diagnoses.
Treatment
Treatment will begin the same day as your Initial Evaluation.

Evaluations are 45-60 minutes in length. Additional appointments average 30-45 minutes in length.
Home Program
Our team of Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistant and Athletic trainers will provide you with a stretching and strengthening program for you to do at home to improve your rehabilitation experience and help you to recover faster.
Continued Support
Often times after the completion of a Physical Therapy Program, many individuals stop performing their home program and symptoms return. We have opportunities to give you the continued support you need to maintain a healthy, pain free life.
Maintenance Program
Your success is important to us even after you have completed therapy. The Maintenance Program is beneficial for anyone who has completed their physical therapy plan of care and would like to continue their exercise program in a controlled environment.

Community Transition
Your success is important to us even after you complete therapy. Through community partnerships, we have the opportunity to go offsite with you to a local gym facility for a treatment session. During these sessions a physical therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant will work closely with you to teach you how to properly use exercise equipment and modify exercises to match the gym environment.
FAQ'S
Do I need to have a doctor’s referral for Physical Therapy?
No. We can treat you without a referral, however, many insurance companies require a referral before they will pay for services. It is recommended to check with your insurance provider for specific requirements.
What do I need to bring with to Physical Therapy?
Bring your insurance card and a driver’s license. If you have a doctor’s referral and reports from imaging (x-ray, MRI, etc.) bring that with as well.
What should I wear to my Appointments?
Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and shoes to your Appointment.
How long are my Appointments?
Appointment length is determined based on the recommendation provided by your Physical Therapist at the initial evaluation. Average appointment times are 30-45
minutes in length.
