  • Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)

  • Biceps tendonitis

Physical therapy for shoulder pain may be necessary before or after surgery for:

  • Rotator cuff repair
  • Biceps tendon repair
  • Labral repair or debridement
  • Total shoulder replacement
  • Reverse total shoulder replacement
  • Repair of broken bone (ORIF)

Treatment varies for each individual but may include:

  • Pain relieving modalities (hot pack, cold pack, traction, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis)
  • Manual therapy
  • Trigger point dry needling
  • Cupping
  • Strengthening and stretching exercises
