- Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)

Physical therapy for shoulder pain may be necessary before or after surgery for:
- Rotator cuff repair
- Biceps tendon repair
- Labral repair or debridement
- Total shoulder replacement
- Reverse total shoulder replacement
- Repair of broken bone (ORIF)
Treatment varies for each individual but may include:
- Pain relieving modalities (hot pack, cold pack, traction, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis)
- Manual therapy
- Trigger point dry needling
- Cupping
- Strengthening and stretching exercises
- Postural education
- Functional activities
- Kinesiotape/sport taping
